Terry McMahon

Terry plays electric and acoustic guitar as well as providing backing vocals in Beyond the Darkside. He has been an active gigging musician since the 80’s and played in various cover bands and tribute shows throughout Australia/NZ. He plays Mark Knopfler in his own Dire Straits tribute show, and has been the lead guitarist a number of successful tribute shows including Elton John, Rolling Stones and Status Quo to name a few.

Growing up in Adelaide, Terry was introduced to Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon album as kid in the 70’s and he became a life-long fan of the band! He learned all the guitar parts off the record and went on to learn the parts off each album as they were released. In the 80’s Terry finished high school and studied for his exams listening to The Wall on repeat!

Working with Kevin to re-create the amazing tone and feel of the guitar parts is inspirational and I just love being part of a unique and talented team in Beyond the Darkside.”

Terry has seen Pink Floyd live a number of times and seeks to re-create that magic each time he performs with the band. “Beyond the Darkside is a brilliant show that captures the essence of Pink Floyd and I’m excited to be part of it!”
