‘I was deeply impacted by Pink Floyd in the late mid 70's.
I'll never forget the first time I heard Dark Side of the Moon - I was maybe 14 and learning to smoke cigarettes and play pool in
someone's garage.
I owned all the albums on vinyl, and saw them once at Western Springs being The Delicate Sound of Thunder show, which must have
been mid-80's roughly.
I used up more time on Animals and Dark Side than almost anything else around ‘79 to ‘80.
I played a heap with various original bands all over NZ between ‘84 and ‘89, then moved to Sydney.
I had some big show experience back then, working with bands that supported Billy Idol and Brian Ferry.
When I first joined up with the Beyond the Darkside show in 2009 I was thrown into the deep end with my first show being at the
Sydney Opera House in the Concert Hall.
It was a very nervous time for me but show I will never forget. Every show since has been a blast’.
